Welcome to Tea Table Still Life Painting
This project is inspired by Post Impressionist still life painting. Post Impressionism was an innovative and experimental art movement from the beginning of the 20th century, drawing on many influences and styles.
Working from real objects where possible, Still life is a great way to improve your observational skills and decision making.
A step by step project video, to create an interesting composition, use impressionist and precise brush strokes to depict elements of a table set out for tea, using a variety of objects, from china, glass, reflective, flowers and folds of fabric.
