Welcome to our Illustrative Rural Landscape Mini Course
A complete mini watercolour painting course. Using a more illustrative approach, this course is suitable for anyone wishing to try watercolour or to practise landscape painting. A watercolour basics video with guidance from the very beginning, and a step by step project video, to create a beautiful illustrative watercolour landscape, featuring fields, cottages and poppies.

Illustrative Rural landscape
In this video we approach the landscape slightly differently, using influence from the 2oth Century artist Eric Ravilious, who is known for his distinctive illustrative style, and his depiction of The South Downs in the South East in watercolour and printmaking.
Basics of watercolour -Techniques
This reference video has lots of useful information, explaining and demonstrating watercolour paint from the very beginning.

- Pencil – HB ( for light sketching)
- Rubber and ruler – any ordinary pencil rubber and ruler
- Watercolour paper
- Watercolour paint
