An Illustrative project taking influence from the drawings of John Ruskin – influential art critic, watercolourist & draughtsman of the Victorian era. Famous for his watercolour and pen and ink sketches of Venice. Using watercolour washes for stone, plaster and shadow, adding pen and ink with pastel for architectural detail.
MATERIALS
- Watercolour paper (300gsm cold pressed)
- Watercolour paint
- Gouache paint
- Brushes
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Liner Pen or Dip Pen
- Acrylic or Drawing Ink
- White pastel
