Painting an atmospheric sunset over a turbulent sea in acrylic. This project is inspired by Turner’s seascape sketches, using energetic brush strokes and mark making to convey water and movement, and a tonal underpainting to help add
depth to an emotive use of colour. Finishing with glazes to strengthen the glow from the setting sun and add highlights to create an impressionist style painting.
